Our university said "Hello" to the new education term with the 2021-2022 Academic Year ceremony. Our Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ahmet Misbah Demircan, General Manager of Foundations Burhan Ersoy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Ahmet Akça, Members of the Board of Trustees Bekir Hulusi Cansu, Fahrettin Özdemirci, Prof. Ahmet Gül, our Rector Prof. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, our General Secretary Dr. Zeynep Görezoğlu, our administrators, academics and students.
After the opening speeches, our Rector Prof. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu carried out a presentation about the developments regarding our university in the past term. After our rector, our Chairman of the Board of Trustees Ahmet Akça thanked our academicians and wished the whole Bezmialem family good luck in the new academic year. Our Foundations General Manager Burhan Ersoy continued his opening speeches and addressed our academics. Ersoy, who spoke with gratitude for all the charitable works left by our founder Bezmialem Valide Sultan and our ancestors, stated that he believed that our two centuries of healthcare experience will continue on for the next centuries.
After Burhan Ersoy, General Manager of Foundations, Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, made a speech. Demircan especially gave advice to our students that will have an important place in their lives. Demircan stated, “Bezmiâlem Vakif University is not only an educational institution, but also a hearth of compassion that has witnessed history." Following his speech, our Board of Trustees Member Prof. Ahmet Gül gave the first lecture of the academic opening on “Pandemic and What It Has Taught".
After the ceremony held at the Erich Frank Conference Hall, the 'Bezmialem Valide Sultan Cultural Heritage Exhibition', located in the University's Rectorate building and the 'Dr. Fatma Şakir Memik Amphitheater' were inaugurated in the Rectorate building of our University.
